Counselling and Psychotherapy

Making Positive Changes In Your Life

Hi, my name’s Anne Arrowsmith. My entrance to psychotherapy and counselling evolved over many years of training, personal therapy and life experience.

I work with peoples of all ages and have experience with many personal issues including depression, anxiety, relationship problems both between couples and extended families. I also work extensively with people addicted to drugs and alcohol.

In my practice I use mindfulness, breathing techniques, visualisation and bodywork to enhance the outcome.

Every person is unique therefore I work eclectically with my clients, adapting to the needs of the individual in order to achieve the best possible outcome.

My approach to therapy is holistic in that I incorporate the whole person – mind, body and spirit. The way we develop from birth is deeply influenced by our environment and the significant people in that environment. So much of our behavior stems from the unconscious so that we often don’t know why we do the things we do. Working with the unconscious aims to uncover and raise awareness of certain patterns in our life that we struggle to change. Change is possible if that’s what you desire!

Clinical supervision

I offer individual or group supervision online or face to face.

The supervisory relationship is crucial to the work we do so that you can enhance existing skills and develop new ones to bring out the best ‘you’ for your clients.

In supervision we explore the relational and intersubjective aspects of your work through reflective practice and discussion.
